The Bandwidth Barn is a space for start-ups in and around Cape Town to grow and connect. It was established and launched by the Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative (CiTi) in 2000, and has two locations: the first in Woodstock and the second in Khayelitsha.
Bandwidth Barn Woodstock
Bandwidth Barn Woodstock is a multi-faceted co-working space and ideal location for supporting and incubating tech and tech-based businesses in Cape Town. It is CiTi’s flagship location, and the chosen venue for most of its programmes and events. The barn provides entrepreneurs with infrastructure and a wide range of facilities (e.g. meeting rooms and event rooms), as well as access to business experts and mentors.
Bandwidth Barn Khayelitsha is a community space that enhances tech entrepreneurship and innovation in the Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain communities. The Barn is situated in the heart of the Khayelitsha/Mitchells Plain Development Corridor and was developed to drive inclusive innovation. The focus of the programmes on offer are peole and businesses without easy access to financial assistance or social capital, and support them in developing tech and business skills.
